Dr. Jamil Marques, a professor of journalism and political communication at the University of Iowa, has officially revived the Global Media Studies Working Group.

Undergraduate students Sam Peterson and Samantha Wirth represented the University of Iowa's Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter at the national PRSA ICON conference.

SJMC wrapped up the fall semester with visits from strategic communication and sports media executives and co-hosted community events. We officially launched our experiential learning requirement and are excited to continue to offer students hands-on professional experiences inside and outside the classroom
