In an era of technological innovation and mass interconnectedness, there’s never been a better time to turn your passions into a career. For Chloé Miller, a 2012 graduate of the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communications, her fervour for entrepreneurship has led to the creation of three companies.

Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw, a 2020 graduate of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, has recently begun a position as a multimedia journalist for Local 4, WHBF & KLJB Fox News located in the Quad Cities.

The Distinguished Service Award is presented annually by SJMC’s Professional Advisory Board (PAB).
