Nominations for the University of Iowa's School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) Distinguished Service Award are being accepted through September 2020.

  • The Distinguished Service Award is presented annually by SJMC’s Professional Advisory Board (PAB).
  • The recipient of this award exemplifies outstanding service and dedication to SJMC.
  • Please nominate individuals you think have provided exceptional service with a positive impact on the School, its students and/or faculty.
  • Nominees can be any alumni or non-alumni who have a record of service to the School as demonstrated by length of time, breadth of contributions, and impact. Anyone associated with the SJMC may nominate an individual for this award.
