What is a Peer Mentor?

Peer mentors support and encourage student success, specifically new and first or second year students. Peer Mentors help students throughout the academic year through one-on-one and group meetings. Peer Mentors are knowledgeable guides for students – someone who can provide access to ideas, study tips, resources and serve as a role model and advocate.

Meet your Peer Mentors for 2024-2025

Brianna Bohling-Hall

Hello! My name is Brianna, and I am a third-year double-majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication and Religious Studies. I am also a nonfiction editor for earthwords: the undergraduate literary review and an upcoming intern for Souaiaia Lab through the Department of Religious Studies, which investigates media narratives on armed conflicts and human rights in culture, religion, politics, and law. Most of my expertise is in longform nonfiction, such as narrative journalism pieces and academic research papers, along with shortform and creative nonfiction. As a peer mentor, I am more than happy to workshop your writing with you and discuss any concerns you may have! No matter the topic or writing style, I am always interested in what other students are writing about and will always be here to help you.
