Description
The Mount Vernon-Lisbon Sun and Solon Economist are weekly community newspapers owned and operated by The Daily Iowan. The School of Journalism and Mass Communication has partnered with The Daily Iowan to hire reporting, design, and business interns to work at the the community papers. Interns work alongside professional staff to produce original content published in print and online.

Priority application deadlines:
- Spring 2026: January 15, 2026

- Fall 2026: June 15, 2026
