Roxanna Scott
Roxanna Scott is the executive editor and vice president for sports at USA TODAY. A former president of the Association for Women in Sports Media, Roxanna has led the sports department since 2020, when she was named managing editor. Roxanna started her career as a copy desk intern at The Dallas Morning News and eventually became the night editor and deputy sports editor. She is a board member of the Associated Press Sports Editors Foundation, which supports diversity in the industry, and the Shirley Povich Center at the University of Maryland. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication and a recipient of The Daily Iowan scholarship. She was inducted into the UI SJMC Hall of Fame in 2023.
