JMC:2410 (3 credits)
Adler Agency is a full-service, student-run strategic communication and engagement agency that focuses on strategic storytelling. With faculty oversight, students serve as staff members in the agency and work in teams to create research-based communication strategies and content for real-world clients. Clients include local businesses, university departments or organizations, and nonprofit and community organizations.
Students work for both a paying client and a non-profit client over the course of the semester. During the first half of the semester the students dive into client research, marketing strategies, and client proposals. The second half the of the semester is spent producing client deliverable packages, which typically include: an anthem video, reel series, web site development, social media construction, newsletter publication, and a podcast series.

From developing a social media video series and capturing a small business owner's story in an anthem video to hosting a live event, these hands-on projects have given me valuable experience working directly with clients while building a high-quality portfolio."
