Coralville Media Collaborative
The Coralville Media Collaborative connects SJMC students and classes with community organizations and small businesses in Coralville, Iowa. The goal is to help our students learn professional media skills while supporting the transformative work already happening in Coralville. Students work with community partners in class settings and through a new community-based internship program that launched this Fall.

A UI student organization that produces television shows for the UI's cable channel (UITV), helps other student and campus groups meet their video needs, and creates original high-definition short films.

Iowa Journalists Oral History Project
A student- and faculty-produced collection of oral histories of rank-and-file journalists in Iowa. Spanning three generations, the project aims to provide a national model for other areas in recording the work and working conditions of journalists during the 20th century.
