What is Ugochukwu's Story?
I am a doctoral student, Teaching Assistant, and Founder of The Glocal Health Communication (GHC) Research Group (TheGHC.org). I hold an Associate Bachelor’s, a B.S, and an M.A. in Mass Communication. I employ MMR and CBPR approaches to studying global public health and misinformation.
Through my work, I aim to uncover how misinformation spreads, its impact on global public health, and how we can develop effective mediated communication interventions to counter it.
My ultimate goal is to contribute to a more informed and healthier society by addressing the challenges misinformation poses in vulnerable communities. I'm passionate about research and have won several research grants in support of my research.
Away from academic activities, I enjoy sharing study-abroad opportunities and graduate school application-related information with a large audience of mostly international students on LinkedIn and Twitter. Learn more about my work at ugochukwumadu.com.
