Biography
What is Sabena's story?
Sabena A. Raheem is a PhD student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Her research focuses on decolonizing representation, digital technologies and media effects on reproductive/sexual health.
Sabena is the author of "Growing Up Muslimah," a book that provides resources for navigating puberty and teenhood for Muslim girls. She got her MA from the University of Cincinnati, and was awarded the Judith S. Trent graduate research award.
Sabena is also a past Niehoff fellow.
