What is Queenie's story?

Queenie Zhou is a Ph.D. student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Iowa. Queenie's research interests fall in visual communication, social media and mental health.

Queenie has double B.A. in Journalism and Studio Arts from the University of Iowa as well as an M.A. in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. Before coming to Iowa, she interned and worked at CGTN, VCG, VOA, and Daily Iowan, etc.

She has published articles in the Daily Iowan, participated in art exhibition, and received awards in photography on campus, etc. She appeared on President's List at UI during undergrad, which she maintained GPA above 4.0 for two continuing semesters.
