Jim Heininger
Jim Heininger is a business transformation expert who leverages strategic communications, brand and change management to drive business value. He established Dixon | James Communications in 2010 and has been building and safeguarding some of the most respected brands for more than 30 years. He has worked across multiple industries including: CPG, food/beverage, retail, healthcare, hospitality, technology, transportation/logistics, insurance, nonprofit, professional services and financial services. In 2017, he also launched the Rebranding Experts, a strategy and marketing firm solely dedicated to rebranding organizations.
He previously held leadership positions at the Chicago offices of Ogilvy, Porter Novelli and Ketchum and served as a communications consultant to McDonald's Corporation. Jim is best known for his work with McDonald's (managing through consumer issues affecting corporate reputation), Procter & Gamble, Wendy's (making Founder Dave Thomas a cultural icon and patron saint of adoption), Miller Brewing Company, Lion's Club International (global branding campaign on Lions' efforts to conquer blindness) and launching multiple new corporate rebrands.
An Iowa City native, Jim received his bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Iowa, served three years as a Hawkeye cheerleader and today participates on the school's Professional Advisory Board.
