What is Jenny’s story? 

Zhiying (Jenny) Xu is currently a Ph.D. student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Her research interests lie in the media effect/influences of social media usages. She is particularly interested in how different types of new media technologies and social media sites could influence an individual’s attitudes, cognition, and health behaviors, especially based on social influence. She would also like to investigate how algorithms play a role in this process.
