What is Anjelica's Story?

Anjelica Ortiz is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is broadly interested in journalism studies, journalism ethics, bias, and misinformation.

Anjelica has a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism and Mass Communication and Communication Studies from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. During her undergrad, Anjelica studied nonprofit leadership and was able to intern for two different local non profits in the Quad City area.

Anjelica has always been interested in teaching and leadership and for the past year has been an Assistant Girl's Soccer Coach at Rock Island High School.
