Michael Davis is a Ph.D. candidate at SJMC. A practicing journalist before returning to graduate school, his area of research is in journalism studies, specifically the beliefs of current and former journalists as to the field’s symbolic and cultural power to create public meaning and understanding. He has taught Reporting and Writing and Multimedia Storytelling for the department.
